Perinatal
Mental Health
There is no shortage of evidence-based information regarding the delicate nature of maternal mental health. Establishing an inviting environment is equally important to the information shared. Being mindful of our interactions generates social capital, so when individuals are unsure how to navigate, they will reach out to us for support, even if it isn't our area of expertise. Our approach to outreach allows the community to know that our commitment isn't bound to grant timelines. We will continue to be a part of support and solutions as long as the community has a need; this offers hope that isn't bound to a static thought but a fluid concept of liberation in childbirth.

We focus on navigating the intensity and vulnerability of the perinatal experience by recognizing the holistic expansion that gestation creates. The workshops utilize the same Restorative Reclamation practice; however, we would engage in exercises and activities that offer participants a deeper understanding of their relationship with autonomy. The event focuses on individuals developing skills that help them identify, assess, and navigate their emotions and increase confidence in parenting competency. Cultivating this practice helps individuals review their lived experiences as opportunities to learn authentic forms of expression.
